Grand Cornet

Project type

Restoration

Date

Summer/Fall 2023

Organ

Midmer-Losh

The Grand Cornet is a mixture that is home on the Great division. Before its restoration, the Grand Cornet was the only chest in the Right Stage chamber that didn't play. With a generous grant from Chris Nagorka, the Grand Cornet was removed entirely and restored. All of the 803 pipes were washed, repaired, and regulated. The chest was releathered and gasketed and plays like brand new. It now makes up one of the six mixtures of the Great division.
